This cheese can be commonly found flavoured with herbs, spices and garlic in your local Supermarket. It’s made all over the world. It’s thought to be one of the earliest made Dairy product by Human Civilisation. The best known coming none other than from France.
Number nine on my list of Top Ten Cheese In The World is one of the world’s most popular form of blue cheese Roquefort. This sharp cheese is aged in the caves of Roquefort in France and in case you are wondering the veins of blue and green you see on this cheese they are in fact mould. The process of making this cheese is highly regulated with only the finest of sheep milk being used found in the Roquefort region of France. With the moist and crumbly texture, it is claimed that this cheese was discovered in the first century and it’s only gotten more widespread since.
Named after the small town in Switzerland this hard yellow cheese is the mixture of sweet and salty and it’s extremely versatile. It’s good for anything specially for sandwiches. With its creamy combination of sweet and salty, tangy & sour. Generally made from ships Milk or a combination of sheep and goat milk it can be served raw or used in cooking and grilling. Although areas around the Mediterranean and the Black Sea have similar types of cheese only the cheese produced traditionally in the designated area of Greece with specific ingredients may legally bear the name Feta.
Traditionally mild this cheese originates from Italy and is made from the milk of water buffaloes. Known for its flavour, semi-soft texture and adaptable nature the fresher this cheese the better. With high moisture content, it is conventionally made by heating curd in warm water and then stretching it by hand before rolling them into moist balls.
You won’t believe how good Gouda cheese is until you try it. Named after a city in Netherland this semi-hard yellow cheese can taste quite a bit by age. Mild when young and assertive when aged. With the pale colouring, it may not look attractive but it contains protein and vitamins B2 and B12. whether it’s smoked, salted or baked it tastes is heavenly.

Truly there is nothing better than cheddar. It’s made of cow’s milk. If cheddar is young it’s texture is smooth and it has a slightly crumbly texture if properly cured. It is a hard and natural cheese. When matured for a period of 9 to 24 months, its taste gets sharper.
